The IDC will be held in Dahab – Egypt.

The pyramids, the minarets, the Nile and specially for our passion the Red Sea – the scope of Egypt is magnificent.

It doesn’t matter if your young or old, female or male well travelled or not… in Dahab everybody is young at heart and fascinated by the magical spell of this beautiful charismatic town about an hours drive away from “BIG” Sharm el Sheikh.

Blue Hole Dahab

The Dive Center

One of the smaller centers in Dahab, Sea Dancer is a PADI 5* IDC Center which has been operating since 2000. Situated right in the heart of Dahab Bay, it is only footsteps away from some amazing reefs.

Sea Dancer’s mission is to offer exceptional diving and training, coupled with top quality equipment and excellent value.

How to get to Dahab

Weather & Temperatures

Egypt’s climate is easy to summarise: hot and dry, with the exception of the winter months of December, January and February, which can be a bit cold at night. Water temperatures vary from 29 degrees in the summer down to 21 degrees Celsius in the winter.

Egyptian Entry Requirements

Visitors to Egypt must be in possession of a valid passport or travel document with a minimum validity of six months beyond the intended visiting period. Most foreigners entering Egypt must obtain a visa. The cheapest and easiest way of doing this is by obtaining your visa on arrival at the airport.

The Egyptian Currency is the Egyptian Pound. There is quite a few ATM machines in Dahab where you can get cash. Most hard currencies can be changed in Egypt, though US dollars and Euros are the easiest to exchange.

Vaccination & Health

No special vaccinations are required, but check with your local doctor for details.
Make sure to bring along mosquito repellant, sun screen and maybe a hat.

Voltage is 220V. You might want to purchase an adaptor if you bring all your PADI Material in digital version.

Phone and Internet

If you want to stay in touch with your friends and family, then best purchase a phone card (e.g. mobinil or vodafone). With these cards you can make international phone calls at reasonable rates. There are Internet Cafes in Dahab that offer high speed connection and quite a few restaurants and bars have wireless.

Depending on the length of your stay you can either stay at any of the hostels in town, or if you’re staying longer we can help you find an apartment in town.

Accommodation usually does not include meals, so you can have all the flexibility of enjoying the different restaurants in Dahab.
